FAQ
Common questions
Are you a mobile home moving company?
No. We are a free referral service. We pass your request to independent local movers, and they quote and do the work. Your contract is with the mover you pick.
How much does it cost to move a mobile home?
Typical estimates only, not quotes: public cost guides often put a local single-wide transport at roughly $1,000–$5,000 and a double-wide at roughly $5,000–$15,000 or more once set-up is added. Distance, permits, escorts, home condition and site work can push costs outside these ranges. Only a mover's written quote is real.
Is set-up included?
Sometimes. Many quotes list transport and set-up (leveling, anchoring, rejoining sections, skirting) separately. Ask every mover to list what's included.
Can an older home be moved?
Often, but some lenders, parks or places restrict older homes, and very old or damaged homes may not be roadworthy. A mover can inspect the home and tell you.
What should I check before I hire a mover?
A TDHCA license for installation, proper transport authority and insurance, and a written quote. We don't vouch for any business, so please check these yourself.
