A single-wide is the simplest home to move, but it still takes a licensed transporter, the right truck, an escort on many routes, and a permit.
What a typical single-wide move includes
- Disconnecting utilities (often by separate licensed trades)
- Removing skirting, steps and tie-downs
- Checking axles, tires and hitch
- Transport with route permit
- Set-up, leveling and anchoring at the new site (often quoted separately)
What affects the price
Distance, home size and age, site access, whether wheels and axles are still under the home, and whether set-up is included. See our FAQ for typical ranges.
